Dear Participants,
On behalf of the Congress, I am very pleased to invite you to the 7th EAFES International Congress, which will be held at Daegu, Korea from April 19 to 22, 2016. I am sure that the Congress will meet your expectations with rewarding scientific, social and cultural experiences for all of you.

Since the first EAFES International Congress was held in Mokpo, Korea, in 2004, the EAFES Congress has fostered and become one of the most important meetings in the ecological field. The Ecological Societies of China, Japan, and Korea collaboratively established the EAFES (The East Asian Federation of Ecological Societies). The three Societies take turns organizing the joint meeting (EAFES Congress) at least once in 2 years that has greatly contributed to developing the ecological science and society in the Asian region.

Call for Symposiaby 15 February, 2016

We invite you to submit symposium proposals for the 7th EAFES International Congress to be held at Daegu, Korea from April 19 to 22, 2016. Symposia are the scientific centerpiece of this Congress.

Proposals for "half-day" symposia (running in length from 2 ½ hours to 3 ½ hours) that address the Congress theme - "One Asia Tied with Ecosystems: Living harmoniously with local people and nature" - are especially welcome, but any timely subject in ecology of broad regional interests will be also welcome. Proposals for full-day symposia may not be accepted. Individual talks in symposia may range from 15 to 30 minutes in length at the discretion of the symposium organizer. Time for synthesis, summary, and discussion is strongly encouraged.

Guidelines to Submit an Abstract

Step 1	Log into EAFES 2016 website.
Step 2	Follow Abstract submission → Online Abstract Submission link to access abstract submission page.
Step 3	Fill out the abstract and author (including a corresponding author, presenter and co-authors) information.
Step 4	After submission, details of your submission will be sent to your e-mail address (ID) or you can confirm the details through our website, My page – Abstract. If you want to modify your submission, please follow My page → Abstract → Click Reference number → Modify.
